National Accounting Career Conference(NACC) 2009

Last Friday I went to Universiti Putra Malaysia(UPM) for NACC 2009.
It was organized by Universiti Putra Accounting Club(UPAC) =)

p/s: sorry if this post is boring or what..

i am sleepy now so..hehe..faham faham lar..

This is the first national conference organized by UPAC. They see the relevance of this conference in developing undergraduate students personally and professionally. This is also a new event to be undertaken by UPAC to promote and increase the awareness of the career path of accountancy among the students. NACC 2009 will also become the platform to provide the latest information on the career world of accountancy profession by communicating and disseminating ideas and promoting best practises and innovation to the university students of accountancy in Malaysia. =)

I was one of the representatives from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia(UKM).

I feel kinda disappointed cause I was hoping there will have maybe 2nd or 3rd year student joining but sadly, most of them were first year and they not even major in Accounting yet. Anyway, at least there are 16 of us going =)

We have out 3rd year senior, Fiona and May(Pemaisuri) and 2nd year senior William, Charlene and Me. *winks*
While the first year students were Jennifer, Rachel, Susan, Yau Yau, Xue Fen, Xue Bing, Ang Ang aka Xue Hong and Ming Yung the piggy. hahaha. I remember their names in 1day time. =p

**FIRST DAY**

We arrived UPM around 9am. It took a few minutes for us to go Kolej 16th for registeration. UPM was really big. I think triple bigger than UKM. *ehem ehem*

Did you know, UPM is the largest local university among all the IPTAs in Malaysia? =p

At 11.30m, the Director of NACC, Wong Zheng Long give us introduction about NACC. He look quite blur and his eyes very small. =p

After that, we have 3 hours break as the muslims went for their prayer. Therefore I contact my matriculation friends(Ann Ying, Tracy and Mei Wen) who studied in UPM to meet me. =)

At 3pm, we wait for UPM bus to go their Faculty of Economic and Management(FPP). But who knows the commitee members failed to get us a bus. We need to sit the usual bus that UPM students took. We waited so long for the bus. We missed a few bus also because there are too many students at the bus stop. *sigh*

When we at FPP, we only able to visit the Career Fair for a short while. I wish i can spent longer time but we have Ice Breaking at Panggung Pecubaan which is just opposite FPP. =)

*SECOND DAY*

I think it will be quite boring if i tell everything so detail, right?

Plus, I don't have the ability to make attractive sentence.haha.

So, i just state out what Career Talk we had okay? =)

1. CPA Australia: An Accounting Qualification with Global Recognition, by Mr Edwin Wong
2. Built your Career in Big Four, by Mr Mohd Muazzam bin Mohamed (Partner of KPMG)
3. Prospective of Accounting Student in Government Sector, by En Md Hatta Md Jauhar from Jabatan Tenaga Kerja

Overall, what i get from the career talk is something more than I know before this. Like CPA Australia, I don't know it's the largest in Australia and it globally recognised. Besides that, if we passed all the CPA Australia papers then we will automatically registered as MIA members. Also, we will have "CPA" at the end of our name after getting a CPA confirmation. But now, I'm not really interested in CPA Australia althought most of the PWC(one of the big four) has most employer holding CPA. hehe.

While for KPMG, the speaker was good. He basically telling us the advantages of studying in accounting field. And advise us to apply KPMG for internship. They also will provide us study leave if we're employed after graduate and still want to take up professional papers. KPMG hopes all their employee are graduate from chartered professional bodies. Ohya, for the internship, they require at least cgpa 3.00 but of course, the higher is better. Other than cgpa, they also will look for extra curricular activities. And for your information, you need to take their 3 writing papers before shortlisted to get the interview. It's cool. =)

While for government sector, the advantages is we have lots of holidays but the salary not as high as what private accounting firm gave. Through out the career talk on government sector, I realised the hardest task for accountant/auditor/tax consultant is they need to spend ALL the budget which is given. haha! You know why, its because the rakyat give the money, so we must full use it for kebaikan rakyat. Guess that's one of the difference between Private and Government sector. Private want to minimize the cost as low as they can to earn more profit while government sector have to use all the budget given. =)

After listen for Career Talk, we have Dinner Party at Cyberview Lodge and Spa resort. We do have fun that night. Thanks to the commitee members again for organised some fun games for us. They were great. haha.

Huey Wen is crazy today!

LOL!

I think im CRAZY today! hahahahaha..
Recently, I am very lazy to go out 'da pau' from KKM Cafe.
The food not bad actually.
But I do not want to eat malay food everyday.
So, sometimes when i tend to lazy go outbuy foods, I will end up just drinking vico/milo/nescafe with biscuit or only cup noodles. hahahaha.

But just now,
PIZZA HUT suddenly popped up on my mind. =p

Then, alot of questions came across my mind..just like..
"can i finish it?"
"anyone want to share with me?"
"Really want to order meh?"
"Eat which one ler?"
"Hawaiian Chicken or Island Supreme?"
"How ler?"

OKAY LARRR..order Hawaiian Chicken!!!
Small set only have 4 pieces.. ha-ha-ha-ha!!

and start ordering.
The receptionist who pick up my call very friendly. =)

Mama Leng!! =)

She, whom study at the same school since Standard 1(SK Convent Kota) till Form 5(SMK Convent Taiping) but in different class. =p

Guess it's really hard to play "hide in seek" for her in my blog.
what to do? I'm not that creative enough..aha! *excuse excuse*
Anyway, just continue lar.. =)

Although I studied same school with her last time but it doesn't means that I am close to her.
I think we were just like know each other by name not by person.
We only get closer to each other after Form 5 when she's working at The Store.
And the most the coincident thing is, ONLY we both, the chinese in our Convent batch got matriculation. *lucky!!!*
She's were in Perak Matriculation while me in Perlis. *double P*
And the only trip i went with her is that Genting Trip..haha..really had lotsa fun when she's around..she's like a 'happy fruit' who can always make peoples around her happy. =)

We will yum char during holidays and both of us in KL's IPTA now.
She's in Universiti Malaya while me at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.
And horr..I realised now i have another friend who can actually accompany sing karaoke in Red Box..lols..

I didn't plan anything for her birthday.
Its Kye Wen who make out this gathering to celebrate her birthday.
She called me, pei pei, hazell and way yen and etc.
Pei pei was supposed to come but she had high fever so cant make it.
Pei, get well soon!!

The birthday girl or in chinese 寿星女, Pei Leng thought only Kye Wen will celebrate with her. haha. I guess she must feel sad and little disappointed.
Plus, ME=Mama Huey never wish her at 12am and when she called me this morning,
I also NEVER wish her and act like nothing.

MUAHAHAHAHA!! =p

I really hate go out during weekends cause I need to take public transport.
sigh sigh sigh
BUT DEMI PEI LENG, I WENT OUT TODAY!! =p

So after my Persatuan Pelajar II class, I go to nearest bus stop.
Guess what, the UKM bus to KTM super damn full.
I stand all the way until we reach KTM bus stop.

After i scan my Touch and Go, I was like..
"woah!! why so many peoples now? it's just 12pm on saturday?"
Really alot of peoples..i never expect so many peoples like just now.
When KTM came, i not go in myself but i was pushed by the peoples behind me.

What's next? I stuck in the middle again. *2nd time*
I holding NOTHING and "kiap" by peoples around me.
DAMN CROWDED AND HOT!!
People like me who easily sweat really sweat alot before reach Midvalley.
And short people like me kena covered by tall peoples.
Even i want to take a breath also hard.
Can u imagine how crowded is it? =(((
I was like so released when I'm out of KTM at Midvalley. =)))

I met Hazell and Way Yen.
Seriously very long time didn't meet with them.
I think the last time might be the time we take anugerah cemerlang spm at Convent.
haha..Way Yen looks the same while Hazell got abit different on her looks. hehe.

Then, we wait for Kye Wen and Pei Leng at Sushi Zanmai.
That's my first time to eat sushi at there.
We waited quite long cause the birthday girl waiting for Rapidkl bus to midvalley.
See..its really difficult to come out on weekends.then Pei Leng come and we had our lunch together.
=)

a short update =)

Kinda lazy to blog lately. haha. very sorry.
was busy facebooking(resturant city,pixel rangers,bejeweled), viwawa(big 2.5 and chinese chess), msn and watching bleach!! haha..

Why i still so free? Actually i did study a little. hehe. Like Commercial Law? =)
My new semester kinda tough actually. I'm taking this few subjects :

1. Intermediate Account I
2. Sistem Maklumat Perakaunan dan Kawalan
3. Commercial Law
4. Prinsip Pengurusan Kewangan
5. Komunikasi Perniagaan
6. Perniagaan Mengikut Perspektif Islam (super bored)
7. Persatuan Pelajar II

overall, they are very hard. maybe i can only score in Persatuan Pelajar?
seriously hope i can still maintain my cgpa ler. =/
For your information, I will continue stay active in Choir Artisukma UKM, FEP Accountancy Club and AIESEC. =)
Other than that i also chosen to play volleyball SUKEM(competition among all the colleges in UKM) for my college. Just hope i got the chance to be in the MAIN SIX so that i'll be able to play more during the tournament. =)
I wanted to join MASUM again, but i worry i can't cope up with my studies later on. =/

Last friday, 1oth july 2009 went to Kbox at The Garden with Pei Leng and Fuh Yuen. We sang 4hours at Red Box. They gave us 3 mic, tidbits and 2 drinks to each of us. I like their service. I like the sound that come out when we sing with the mic. though its a little expensive, really a little only..but i feel worth it!!
Hopefully i will have chance sing with them again!
this is the first time i sing K with them in KL =)
After that, i bought my new nike!!
I like the design, simple and nice!!
But i actually hope the nike logo is in purple colour.

I'm happy on that day..but at night, Lilyn and I trapped inside the room AGAIN!!
gosh..so sui~!!
hope there will be NOOOOO 3rd time. grrr~
I told my mum all these and beg her to let me go home since i dont have class on monday.
After saying a few sweet words to her, she agree to let me go back. hee~
miii, wo ai ni!! =)

Thus, after class at 11am on Saturday, i headed to Puduraya.
Guess what happened there?
After i bought ticket for 1230pm bus, i wait for the bus at Platform 19.
Suddenly, a chinese guy come to me and the conversation begins...

The guy: Hi miss, may i know where are you going?

me: I'm going back taiping lo.

The guy: Ohh..My purse and handphone steal by somebody. Can you borrow me RM 22 to buy ticket go back to Kuantan? I will ask my parents post the money to you once I'm back to Kuantan.

me: Huh?

The guy: Please.. If you don't believe me, I can show you My IC..you can even take my IC away until i pay back you the money..

(I look at the IC and its correct..i didnt take his IC cos I scared later police will catch him)

me: Wait a moment kay?

The guy: okay..

(I walked away and called my kuantan friend and ask how much the price. Myfriend told me its rm21.90. At that time I still don't feel like give him the money. Then i called daddy and he asked me to give him RM22..)

me: Nah..here's RM22.

The guy: Thanks! Can you give me your name and hp number please? I will contact you later..

I thought I was doing something good.
So i feel quite happy.
Until at night when i msn with dinesh, he faced the same situation also.
that time only i realised i got cheated. sobs.

I enjoyed every single days in Taiping.
i think i dont have to write here.
In short, I'm really happy when in Taiping. =)))

I came back to UKM on Monday. (thanks tj for fetching me)

And that night, i sell my books to my junior, susan.

bad luck

Kinda bad luck lately.

first, when i in ukm, the water colour is yellowish. yuck! It makes my skin sensitive again.. =(

second, which happened on second day in UKM. That day ONLY a few rooms at my floor don't have electricity and my room was one of them. =(

third, which happened last night. while im busy msn and telling myfriend that i'm going to bed soon. My new room mate, lilyn said," ehh, why can not open the door?"
I thought she dont have strength so I try to help her. Who knows the door spoiled. sigh. Lilyn and I trapped inside the room. swt swt swt!!
I called fellow to come over. haih. I have 8am class the next morning. damn sui. I missed the morning class.
In the end, fellow said tomorrow only ask technician to fix it. sobs.

*Introduction*
I knew this guy when I'm working after SPM.
How?
That time I'm working as HR Clerk at The Store and he's Grocery's Sales Asst.
I notice this Papa Yau when I'm doing paper work.
When i look at his profile, I was wondering why his result so good but will choose to work at Grocery dept?
very susah one ler. need to punyah heavy things wor.
maybe he want to gain working experience gua.
I forget i get to talk with him or not before he resigned. haha!

Then i guess we lost contact until i came back from Matriculation.

That time he with my other good friends planned a suprise farewell party for me!
Really super SUPRISE!!
I nearly cry..ahaha!!
Until now when i think of that party, my heart feel sweet sweet eh.. =)
REALLY!!

After a while I entered UKM, he went to study at Montreal, Canada.
Yea, he's a JPA scholar. smart people ma. =p

After he back to Malaysia, we went to few trips together.. =)

Then i sms cbee whether she want to share or not but she didn't reply me.

*CLIMAX*
We date him to come out that night at 930pm.
I asked him whether he read the message i wrote in msn and he said none.
I don't really believe him but then i tell myself..buat tak tau only lar..just do my best and hope he'll suprise. haha!

Finally..all of us already at Siang Malam.
After talk talk talk and drink drink drink..i give hints to peileng to give Sayonara Card to him.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
He did suprise!! He looked at us and...

Mama Yau: Sayonara??? I thought I'm the one who suppose say sayonara to peileng and hueywen?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
We continue acting..just keep talking and wait for 12am..ahaha~


Before 12am, we decided to shift to KFC which is opposite that Siang Malam.
It's just walking distance =)
what we ordered all berkaitan with potatoes.aha!

Then i take out the secret recipe's Moist Chocolate cake..haha!

and i took out the birthday card and the present also!!
